The 100km Race:
The route of the 100 km race is basically the island’s complete
perimeter crossing and for that reason there is a distance of 11 km
which is track, at Saliara’s cape, between Golden Beach and Limenas.
This cape has unique beauty bays and small beaches and worth’s every
kilometer of it. The major part of the route is next to the sea
something that makes it very attractive which is very important in
such large distances where boredom is part of the overall burden. It
is certain that by this route no one will be bored! All the way long
the will exist supply and control points, total 18 spaced from each
other 5-7 km. The race is very demanding and with great difficulty
as the positive elevation it is about 1400m. and in relation to the
time limit for exclusion of 15 hours it makes the whole effort even
more difficult. Official Site
Technical Features:

-10% track
-Time limit of exclusion: 15hours

Thasos's economy relies on timber (it is rich in forests), marble quarries, olive oil and honey. Tourism has also become important since the 1960s, although not to the level of other Greek islands. Wikipedia

Ancient Theater
Trip Advisor |
At the beginning of the 3rd century the forefront of the scene was built by marble and the foreground was dedicated to Dionysus. In the 1st century A.D., the theatre was used for duels. The orchestra was converted into an arena and doors shut the parodos. During that era the seats were renovated, on which many names were engraved.
Nowadays, the ancient theatre hosts the local festival of Thassos where concerts and performances take place over the year. It has a panoramic view with a capacity of 2000 viewers. thassos-view.com
